Project Gabru began with an organised basketball experience designed to bring better local opportunities closer to young players.
2026
THE FIRST CHAPTER.
Organised by Project Gabru at Queen of Angels Convent Higher Secondary School, Bharuch.
Bringing the experience closer to home.
The idea grew from seeing organised basketball tournaments available in other cities and wanting young players in Bharuch and surrounding Gujarat to experience meaningful competition closer to their own community.
The Bharuch Basketball League became the starting point for a bigger vision: a grassroots basketball community where players can find better opportunities to train, compete, learn from coaches and mentors, and grow.

Project Gabru is small by design today, but serious about how we work with young players and the wider community.
Project Gabru is an independent grassroots basketball community initiative.
Participation by anyone under 18 requires parent or guardian consent.
We expect respectful behaviour from players, parents, coaches, referees and volunteers.
Published event results and statistics are based on Project Gabru records.
