How Project Gabru handles participant, parent, team and website information.
This notice explains how Project Gabru handles information collected through its website, registrations, events and related community activities.
1. Who we are
Project Gabru is an independent grassroots basketball community initiative operating in Bharuch and surrounding areas of Gujarat, India. Project Gabru is not presented as a government body, basketball governing body, registered company, trust, society or foundation unless expressly stated.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on the activity, registration or enquiry, PG may collect information such as a player's name, age/date of birth, gender/category, team, parent or guardian name, phone number, email address, emergency contact information, participation details, attendance, payment/receipt information and other information reasonably needed to organise an activity safely.
3. Why we collect it
- To register players and teams for PG activities.
- To communicate schedules, changes, results and event information.
- To maintain attendance, participation and event records.
- To support participant safety and emergency communication.
- To administer fees, receipts and event-related records.
- To maintain legitimate historical records of PG events and achievements.
4. Children and parent/guardian consent
PG's activities may involve participants under 18. Participation/registration for anyone under 18 requires parent or legal guardian consent. PG may request information needed to establish that consent where appropriate.
Photo/video consent is handled separately during registration or the relevant activity process. A refusal of media consent should not by itself be treated as consent to publish identifiable images.
5. Third-party services
PG initially uses Google Forms for some registrations and feedback. When a third-party service is used, information submitted through that service may also be processed according to that provider's own terms and privacy practices. PG does not currently use website analytics or advertising trackers.
6. Access and use
Participant information should be accessible only to authorised PG administrators and other people who reasonably need the information to deliver the relevant activity, such as designated coaches or event staff. PG does not intend to sell participant personal information.
7. Retention
PG keeps personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for program operations, event history, accounting, safety and legal purposes. When information is no longer required, PG may delete or anonymise it, subject to applicable obligations and legitimate record-keeping needs.
8. Your requests
Parents/guardians and participants may contact PG to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held about them or, where appropriate, their child. PG may need to verify the identity or authority of the person making the request.
Email: hello@projectgabru.in
9. Security
PG takes reasonable organisational and technical precautions appropriate to the nature of the information it handles. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Changes to this notice
PG may update this notice as its activities, systems or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page.
