BUILDING A STRONGER
BASKETBALL COMMUNITY.
Project Gabru is a youth development through sports initiative. Basketball is our platform; player development, character and community are the bigger purpose.
COMMUNITY
FIRST.
CULTURE NEXT.
TEAM ALWAYS.
Project Gabru is an independent grassroots basketball community initiative operating in Bharuch and surrounding areas of Gujarat, India. We primarily support young players while welcoming parents, coaches, teams and supporters into the wider community.
Project Gabru exists to create better opportunities for players to learn, train, compete, develop and belong through sport.
We believe young athletes need more than a place to play. They need good coaching, meaningful competition, positive teammates, role models, feedback and an environment where effort and character matter.
We are starting with basketball and building from the ground up — one player, one team, one training session and one event at a time.
WHERE THE JOURNEY BEGAN.
Project Gabru began with the Bharuch Basketball League in April 2026, bringing organised basketball competition closer to local players.
TEAMS
Bharuch Basketball League 2026
Organised by Project Gabru at Queen of Angels Convent Higher Secondary School, Bharuch.
Better opportunities, closer to home.
The idea grew from seeing organised private basketball tournaments available in other cities and wanting to bring that experience closer to young players in Bharuch and surrounding Gujarat.
The event became the first major chapter in the Project Gabru journey and the foundation for a wider grassroots basketball community.

Grow as a player and as a person — with confidence, resilience, responsibility and integrity.
HOW WE SHOW UP.
Five values guide the community we are building.
Bring players, families, coaches and teams together.
Develop the player and the person.
Create more chances to play, train and grow.
Be honest about what we do and what we achieve.
Keep improving the individual and the community.
MAKE GOOD
BASKETBALL
OPPORTUNITIES
MORE ACCESSIBLE.
Our long-term goal is to help create a healthier local basketball ecosystem where players can regularly train, compete, learn from coaches, experience organised events and find a community that supports them.
We want Project Gabru to be known not just for the events we organise, but for the culture we maintain — competitive without being toxic, ambitious without losing humility, and committed to doing things the right way.
THE GAME MAY END.
THE CHARACTER DOESN'T.
Our tournaments and training sessions are tools for a bigger purpose: helping young people develop fitness, confidence, leadership, discipline, decision-making and character.
